Validate phone numbers online

This free phone number validator calls Greip's phone scoring endpoint: structure checks for the selected country, plus risk signals (disposable, blacklist, recommendation) used in production fraud stacks.

It is not SMS deliverability or line-status verification. Use it to sanity-check signups, account updates, and payout flows before you send OTP or approve an order.

International phone number format

Greip v2 scores numbers with GET /score/phone/{phone}?country_code=XX. The path accepts common formats such as +12121234567, 12121234567, or national digits like 2121234567, and country_code is required (ISO 3166-1 alpha-2, for example US, GB, DE).

On this page, pick the country and enter the number; shareable URLs use US~2125551234 style paths that map to the same API call.

Carrier lookup from a phone number

When carrier data is available for a valid number, results include a carrier name. Greip does not expose a separate mobile or landline line-type field on this endpoint.

Carrier hints help route SMS, spot mismatches with billing country, and enrich manual reviews.

VoIP and disposable phone numbers

Results flag disposable or spam numbers and show whether a number is on your blocklists when applicable. Invalid structure, disposable signals, and blacklist hits raise the risk level and recommendation.

Pair this checker with email and IP scoring to stop synthetic signup farms and bonus abuse.

Phone number validation API

Automate checks with Greip's Phone Scoring API (Premium and above): validate at scale, read is_valid, risk_level, recommendation, reasons, optional carrier, and disposable or blacklist flags.

See the phone scoring API documentation for request formats and response fields.
